The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors have recently awarded Christopher Thomas the status of RICS Registered Expert Witness.

Since 23rd March 2020 the anxious journey through a once in a century pandemic has by some virtue in many cases strengthened the relationship between landlords and tenants. Large numbers have sought our advice and counsel through the process of normalising abnormal pressures, in particular rent payment, business rates relief and if nothing else a friendly empathetic tone. Most have come to terms and transitioned stronger than before.

In our role as commercial property surveyors dealing with critical issues – 1954 Act Lease Renewals, Rent Reviews and Valuations – there are occasions when parties are unable to reach agreement, despite reasonable attempts to do so.

To help existing and new clients, Christopher Thomas has undertaken rigorous RICS training and assessment to ensure thorough ongoing coverage and qualified client support. To this end Christopher has recently been awarded the status and accolade of RICS Registered Expert Witness.

This is particularly relevant to matters which may be in contemplation of or are in the course of proceeding to Court or Arbitration Tribunal.
